Role Summary

The Shoe Cleaner & Restoration Specialist is responsible for cleaning, detailing, repairing, and restoring all types of footwear—sneakers, leather shoes, luxury brands, suede, nubuck, heels, and sports footwear. This role ensures Green Laundry delivers a premium, high-quality shoe care service that maintains and enhances the look, feel, and lifespan of every pair.

Key ResponsibilitiesShoe Cleaning & Care

• Perform deep cleaning, deodorizing, and sanitizing for all shoe types.
• Use correct chemicals, brushes, and techniques for leather, suede, nubuck, canvas, mesh, rubber, and synthetic materials.
• Remove stains, dirt, and odors while protecting the shoe’s structure and color.
• Handle premium and delicate brands with extra care (LV, Gucci, Balenciaga, Yeezy, Jordan, etc.).

Restoration & Repair

• Perform color touch-ups, repainting, midsole repainting, and scratch restoration.
• Restore yellowed soles using whitening treatments or advanced restoration techniques.
• Fix minor damages such as loose stitching, glue separation, sole bonding, and small tears.
• Conduct suede/nubuck revival using steam, dry brushing, and specialized tools.
• Polish leather shoes using premium creams, waxes, and conditioners.

Quality Control

• Inspect shoes before and after cleaning/restoration to ensure top-quality results.
• Identify issues (cracks, peeling, loose sole, discoloration) and inform supervisor for approval.
• Maintain before-and-after documentation for social media and customer records.

Tools & Chemicals Handling

• Mix and apply chemicals according to safety standards.
• Use proper brushes, detailing tools, airbrush machines (if applicable), and restoration kits.
• Maintain equipment and working station hygiene daily.

Customer Service & Coordination

• Understand customer requirements clearly and ensure delivery as promised.
• Coordinate with packing and delivery teams for smooth workflow.
• Maintain accurate job cards for every pair (cleaning type, restoration type, special notes).

Requirements

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in shoe cleaning, sneaker care, or shoe repair.
• Strong knowledge of materials (leather, suede, canvas, mesh, rubber, etc.).
• Skilled in color restoration, repainting, and detailing.
• Ability to handle luxury footwear safely.
• Good communication skills (basic English or Hindi/Urdu).
• Attention to detail, patience, and passion for shoe care.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet daily targets.

Preferred

• Experience with high-end sneaker restoration.
• Knowledge of airbrushing, repainting, sole protection films, and sneaker customization.
• Experience in photography for before-after shots.
